 On the East Coast, the Jamaica Muslim Center in Queens, New York, will facilitate three separate prayer times starting at 7:00 AM to accommodate the local community.

Logistical planning is also in full swing in Virginia, where the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center has scheduled prayers for 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, coordinating closely with local police for traffic control.

 For those in New Jersey, the Central Hilal Committee maintains a 7:30 AM Eid al-Fitr prayer time in the United States, though they emphasize local moon sighting protocols.

 Worshippers are encouraged to pay their Zakat al-Fitr digitally, estimated at $15 per person for 2026, well before the morning of the prayer.

The Eid prayer consists of two units (Rak'ahs) with extra Takbirat (magnifications of God) performed before the Quranic recitation.

 According to the Shafi'i tradition, seven Takbirs are performed in the first unit and five in the second.

 It is a recommended Sunnah to eat an odd number of dates before leaving for the prayer, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
